Here is the proto-type of the replacemnt for the old switch selector. This new module routes the audio through long life cycle surface mount relays. The momentary buttons are pressed to select the desired audio source to the monitor module audio input. At power-up, the user can install jumpers to a desired source, 1 through 12.

Here is the proto-type of this new PC board assembly designed to replace the old mechanical 12 station audio switch. 12 Volt logic voltage is taken from the BMX-III/AMX Control Room module with a 2 wire plug-in cable. This provides power for the LED position indicators, the surface-mount relays and the CMOS logic. Upon power-up the user can select with simple jumpers the priority station 1 through 12. We will set this at MOORETRONIX for position 1, PGM. (1) Eliminate mechaical latching problems, (2) Buttons won't pop off the switch posts, (3) Audio is routed through high life cycle relays for noise-free switching and (4) Relays provide complete isolation from external audio sources.
